Cobblers fall at Yankton and more from Thursday’s high school softball scene
Journal staff The Yankton softball team tallied 12 runs in the first inning to pull away from Rapid City Central on Thursday at Sertoma Park in Yankton. The Gazelles capitalized on the hot start to nab an 18-3 home victory in four innings. The Cobblers fell to 0-4, while Yankton improved to 1-3. Shyanne Dudley (0-2) suffered the loss in three innings of relief. She allowed nine rune, all earned, on nine hits with four walks and three strikeouts.
