Cowgirls Are In Third Place At the Battle of Brownwood

BROWNWOOD, Texas – Hardin-Simmons’ women’s golf team is in third place after the first round of the Battle in Brownwood which is being played at the Hideout Golf Club in Brownwood. HSU shot a 323 and trails the leader Mary Hardin-Baylor by 11 strokes. LeTourneau is second at 319. The University of Dallas is in fourth place with a 331 and East Texas Baptist shot a 355 and is in fifth place. Sarah Kmiecik of Mary Hardin-Baylor leads the tournament after shooting an even-par 72. She has a two-stroke lead over Kimberly Burch of Dallas and Sophia Padilla of Concordia.…
