Great Pitching Lead CSUB to a Shut Out Against Cal Poly
Hannah Walker BAKERSFIELD, Calif. – The Cal State Bakersfield baseball team had a doubleheader split this Friday afternoon with Bakersfield taking their first conference road game again the mustangs in a 5-0 shut out battle. Starting pitcher Ryan Verdugo showed out on the mound again for the second weekend in a row for the Roadrunners. Pitching seven innings of no run baseball, the junior struck out six mustangs only giving up a scatter of seven hits. Verdugo has now thrown 17.1 consecutive innings without giving a run up.
