Sandui Earns MEAC Women’s Track Athlete of the Week Nod

NORFOLK, Va. – Norfolk State freshman Yvone Sandui earned the first Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) weekly accolade of her career on Friday afternoon, receiving the MEAC Women's Track Athlete of the Week award. The recognition comes after a tremendous showing by the first year at the 2024 NSU Invitational, winning both of her respective events. Sandui took first place in the 800 meters with a personal-best time of 2:12.46. She followed that performance up with another personal record to win the 1500 meters in 4:36.09.
