UIndy’s Buessing Hits Olympic Qualifying Time at International Meet
EINDHOVEN, Netherlands —University of Indianapolis student-athlete Cedric Buessing came one step closer to achieving his Olympic dream on Friday. Competing at the Eindhoven Qualification Meet in The Netherlands, the Germany native posted an Olympic Qualifying Time (OQT) of 4:12.33 in the 400-meter individual medley. Fresh off winning a national championship and earning three national runners-up at the NCAA DII Championships last month, Buessing saved his best swim for the open Olympic qualifying meet in Eindhoven. His impressive time is the seventh-fastest 400 IM swim in the world this year, coming in at .17 seconds quicker than the OQT of 4:12.50....
