Baseball’s doubleheader with Bowdoin suspended due to rain with Bobcats leading 3-0 in game one
LEWISTON, Maine — The Bates baseball team’s doubleheader with rival Bowdoin was suspended due to poor field conditions thanks to a mid-afternoon rainstorm Saturday at Leahey Field. The Bobcats led 3-0 with a runner on first and one out in the bottom of the third when the rain became too intense to continue play. The game will resume at a to-be-determined date with sophomore Gibby Sullivan (Yarmouth, Maine) facing an 0-1 count and junior Brandon Biggane (Rensselaer, N.Y.) at first base.
