Cardiac Mammoths sweep two thrillers from Trinity, 11-10 & 7-6
AMHERST, Mass. — Jack Boyle’s one-out RBI-single in the bottom of the eighth inning of a scheduled seven-inning game gave the Amherst College baseball team a walk–off 7-6 victory and a sweep of their Saturday doubleheader versus Trinity College at Memorial Field. The Mammoths had held on to capture the opener of the twinbill 11-10 when Boyle caught up to a line drive to center field with two outs in the top of the seventh inning (both games were scheduled seven frames).
