Cassiday, Skorczewski take titles at Beloit Relays

BELOIT, Wis. — The Lawrence University track and field teams took home a pair of titles on Saturday during the Beloit Relays at Strong Stadium. Ryan Cassiday won the 5,000 meters on the men’s side, and Gabby Skorczewski took home first place in the women’s 800 meters. Cassiday was one of four Vikings to place in the top seven in the 5,000. He took the title in 15:50.64, and Sam Brewer was third in 16:19.74. Owen West was next in fourth at 16:38.10, and Thomas Popoca was seventh in 17:01.27.
