Members of the Washington and Lee University equestrian team competed at Hollins University for the 2024 Old Dominion Athletic Conference Equestrian Championships, finishing third overall. Clare O'Brien, a senior on the team, was named the Virginia Farm Bureau Scholar Athlete of the Year and excels in the classroom as an American history major. She has also been honored with various academic and sportsmanship awards, and has performed exceptionally during the season, earning ribbons in all nine IHSA meets. The Generals finished in the top three in the first class and collected a total of 240.5 team points. In the second class, they finished fourth with 215.25 points, and in the final class, they finished fourth in team scoring with a total of 163.0 points.
