Despite injuries to key runners, Allen and Flower Mound capture area track titles

AUBREY—The phrase "next man up" is pretty fitting for how the Allen boys track and field team has approached its 4x400-meter relay this season. After capturing second place in that event at last year's Class 6A state meet, and doing so without a single senior on the relay, the Eagles finished out last week's District 5-6A meet with just one runner from that group remaining in senior Cameron Miller.
