Grinnell women’s golf team out to strong start at Illinois Wesleyan meet
Results NORMAL, Ill. – Competing in a loaded field with several nationally-ranked teams, the No. 24 Grinnell College women’s golf squad had a stellar effort on the opening day of the Illinois Wesleyan University Kathy Niepegan Spring Fling Saturday. The Pioneers are tied for fourth in the 21-team field, sitting only behind three teams listed ahead of them in the national rankings. Grinnell had a score of 311 at Ironwood, eight shots behind third-place and No. 11 ranked St. Catherine University.
