ABILENE, Texas – Hardin-Simmons’ Cowboy outdoor track and field team competed at the War Hawk Classic hosted by McMurry with a win in the high jump. Gunner Helm cleared 6-8 ¾ ft. in the high jump for first place at McMurry. Evan Hanson led the Cowboys in three major throws. Hanson threw 146-4 ft. in the discus, 142-6 ft. in the hammer throw, and 43-4 ½ ft. in the shot put, finishing top-10 in each event at McMurry.
