Lamar University Softball Cardinals Secure Series Finale Victory with Bases Loaded Walk and Home Steal

BEAUMONT, Texas – Jayne Sepulveda drew a bases loaded walk in the bottom of the seventh to help Lamar University softball to a 2-1 win over Texas A&M-Corpus Christi. This gave the Cardinals the series victory after splitting Friday’s doubleheader. After reaching on an error in the top of the first, Shenita Tucker got the Cardinals on the board first by stealing home. Her two stolen bases in the inning pushed her season total to 25 stolen bases tying the all-time single season record for Lamar.
