PREP TRACK: South’s Downham wins two events at Burns Invite
CHEYENNE – Cheyenne South junior Trey Downham broke his own school record in one of the two events he won at Friday’s Burns Invitational. Downham finished the 300-meter hurdles in 41.55 seconds, which reset South’s school record. He also cleared 6 feet to win high jump. Downham joined Austin Moehr, Forrest Heschke and Sam Thoms on the winning 4x400-meter relay team (3 minutes, 39.42 seconds). The Bison’s 4x100 relay team of Thoms, Jayden McNeill, Damien Pino and Broden Burns won in 45.86 seconds. Burns also placed second in high jump (5-10). The Burns boys won the team title.
