Softball drops both games against Southern Virginia
RALEIGH, N.C. – The Meredith softball program dropped both games Saturday afternoon against Southern Virginia University with scores of 6-3 and 5-2. Both offenses were on early in game one as a run was scored in each of the first three innings. Meredith didn’t score a run after the third and made five errors in the game which proved to be the difference. Sophomores Avery Puryear , Mariah Bell , and Emilee Lewis all had two-hit games while Puryear picked up all three RBIs for Meredith. Senior Sarah Manis also had two hits.
