Softball falls to Creighton in Extra Innings

STORRS, Conn. – The UConn softball team lost a close game to the Creighton Bluejays, 2-1 in eight innings at Burrill Family Field on Saturday afternoon. Payton Kinney made her 13th start of the season for the Huskies. Kinney was dominant in the circle going 7.1 innings, only giving up two hits, and setting a new career high with 15 strikeouts. The senior retired 18 straight Creighton batters after giving up a double in the first inning.
