Softball Splits at Averett

DANVILLE, Va.- The Randolph softball team faced Averett on the road on Saturday afternoon. The WildCats split the doubleheader as they dropped the first game 3-1 and won the second game by the same score. In the first game, Averett scored twice in the bottom of the first inning to take a 2-0 lead. In the WildCat third inning, Lexi Hawkins (Lynchburg, Va./Liberty Christian) singled in a run to make it 2-1. The Cougars got the run back in their portion of the inning.
