WORCESTER, Mass.— The 13th-ranked William Smith rowing team was back in action on Lake Quinsigamond this weekend, competing against seven of the top 15 teams in the country. Included in that group were three of the top four teams in the country. The varsity and second varsity eights competed in heats and finals this morning in a headwind. In the heats, the top three boats progressed to the grand finals. William Smith’s third varsity eight competed in a finals-only heat on the 2,000-meter Lake Quinsigamond course.
