D’Amico Wins Decathlon at Monks Invite

STANDISH, Maine – Sophomore Michael D'Amico (Belgrade Lakes, Maine/Messalonskee) of the University of Southern Maine men's track & field team won the decathlon on Sunday at the Monks Track & Field Invitational hosted by Saint Joseph's College of Maine. D'Amico recorded 5,125 points over the two-day event and his score ranks third in the NCAA Division III East region and 34th nationally. He is now the seventh-highest scoring decathlete in program history.
