Deberry and Mills combine for shutout in FSU’s 2-0 victory over JCSU
GAME 1 | Fayetteville State 2, Johnson C. Smith 0 CHARLOTTE, NC --Freshman Kevana Deberry and sophomore Hannah Mills combined to throw a shutout on Saturday as the Fayetteville State Broncos blanked the Johnson C. Smith Golden Bulls 2-0. JCSU is now 3-20 overall and 0-7 in conference play. Deberry started in the circle for Fayetteville State (8-17, 2-7 CIAA), going five shutout innings while giving up five hits, walking one, and striking out four. Mills was dealing out of the bullpen as well, going two shutout innings, allowing one hit, walking none and striking out one. HOW IT HAPPENED...
