Women’s golf tied for third after opening round of ASUN Championship
Florida Gulf Coast University women's golf completed the opening round of the ASUN Championship Sunday in Huntsville, Alabama. "We struggled a bit but hung in there," second-year head coach Shannon Sykora said. With a 297 showing, the Eagles are tied for third alongside Austin Peay at nine-over-par. The Eagles sit just five strokes back of second and eight shots behind the tournament leader Lipscomb at one-under. FGCU produced a runner-up performance to Lipscomb a season ago.
