D.J. Wagner enters transfer portal: 5 possible landing spots

LEXINGTON, Ky. (BVM) – D.J. Wagner was in the conversation as the top basketball player in the Class of 2023 and ultimately finished as the No. 4 recruit according to ESPN. The son of four-year NBA veteran Dajuan Wagner pledged to Kentucky and was expected to be an early draft pick in the 2024 NBA Draft.

The 6-foot-4 guard did not have the freshman season he was hoping for, averaging 9.9 points on 40.5% shooting from the field. The former five-star recruit took the next step of his career on Monday by announcing that he has entered the NCAA transfer portal.
