ATLANTA (April 15, 2024) – The Atlantic Sun Conference announced on Monday that Gehrig Frei was selected as the ASUN Player of the Week following North Alabama's weekend series with Bellarmine. The redshirt sophomore from Alpharetta, Ga. went 8-for-13 across UNA's three game set with Bellarmine in Louisville, Ky. Frei batted .615 while slugging 1.000 with a .706 on base percentage. Frei picked up four walks, two doubles and a home run to help UNA to an ASUN series victory. Frei's weekend was capped with a 5-for-6, six RBI performance in UNA's record breaking 22-3 win over Bellarmine on Sunday....
