Track and Field Has Strong Showing at Sharonda Coleman-Singleton Classic

ORANGEBURG, S.C. – The Newberry College track and field team competed at the Sharonda Coleman-Singleton Classic hosted by South Carolina State on Saturday afternoon. The Wolves produced a quartet of winners on the day, in addition to a pair of third-place finishers. On the men's side, freshman Drew Benson won the 3000-meter steeplechase event in 11:02.11 to beat second place by nearly 50 seconds.
