Elmhurst, Ill. – The Thunder softball team returned to Elmhurst’s Salt Creek Park Monday to resume a CCIW game from last Tuesday that was suspended at the end of the eighth inning due to darkness. The Thunder and the Bluejays played four more scoreless innings today until Wheaton broke the tie with a run in the bottom of the 13th inning. Wheaton earned a 2-1 win in the 13-inning marathon to improve to 13-11 overall and 2-2 in CCIW play.
