Baseball Comes On Strong Late in 10-9 Stunner at Dominican
Pomona, N.Y. - Down to its final nine outs, the Adelphi University baseball team worked its way back from a five-run deficit to prevail 10-9 in dramatic fashion against Dominican University of New York Tuesday at Clover Stadium. Now winners of four of their last five, the Panthers (15-16) sit one win back from returning to .500 ball. It all began to fall apart when the Chargers (13-24) turned to their bullpen. Even with a five-run cushion, the Dominican relievers were unable to stop the impending bleeding. Struggles began to plague Dominican, both on the bump and in the field....
