Baseball Falters in Midweek Loss to UCF
ORLANDO, Fla. – North Florida baseball (17-17) could not overcome a rough fifth inning and fell to UCF (22-12), 10-3, on Wednesday evening. The Ospreys received an excellent start from Will Ross , who tossed three innings of scoreless ball and struck out two. UNF ran into trouble in both the fourth and fifth innings. Jordan Wimpelberg and Clayton Boroski allowed five runs in the two innings, which proved to be too much. UNF chipped away at the deficit in the sixth, as Jakob Runnels scored on an error and Cherokee Nichols drove home a run on a ground ball.…
