Baseball hosts UPJ in non-conference action

LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – The Lock Haven baseball team (7-30 overall) fell to University of Pitt-Johnstown (14-22 overall), 10-5, in a non-conference game between Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) East-West opponents on Tuesday afternoon (April 16) at Watkins Field. UPJ opened the scoring with a run in the top of the first before tacking on four more to build a 5-0 advantage through an inning and a half. Lock Haven joined the party in the bottom of the second with two runs off RBIs from Lance Baldensperger (Warren, Pa./Warren) and Francisco Taveras (Muhlenberg, Pa./Muhlenberg) to cut UPJ’s advantage to 5-2.…
