Blake Griffin retires: 10 greatest moments of his career

(BVM) – Six-time All-Star Blake Griffin announced his retirement from the NBA on Tuesday morning after 14 seasons.

The 6-foot-9 forward out of Oklahoma was drafted first overall in the 2009 NBA Draft by the Los Angeles Clippers where he spent the first eight seasons of his career. He was named rookie of the year and earned five All-NBA selections with the Clippers before spending parts of the final six years of his career with the Detroit Pistons, Brooklyn Nets and Boston Celtics.

Griffin is most known for his high-flying dunks with the Lob City Clippers, a squad that made six straight trips to the playoffs from 2012-17. He was also victorious in the 2011 Slam Dunk Contest, one of the most memorable competitions in recent NBA history.

Griffin finished his career averaging 19 points, eight rebounds and four assists in 765 games and a legacy as one of the most exciting players to grace an NBA floor this century.
