Freshmen Lead Spiders to Third-Place Finish at Wofford

NEWTON, N.C. — Freshmen Quin Polin and Jack LaPiana each placed in the top 12 to lead the Spiders men’s golf team to a third-place finish at the 13-team Wofford Intercollegiate Tuesday. Polin tied for sixth at 1-over par (211) and LaPiana tied for 12th at 3-over par (213), marking the best finish of the season for both golfers. As a team, Richmond finished at 14-over par (854), eight shots behind champion South Carolina and five behind A-10 rival Davidson.
