Gardner-Webb Earns a Pair of Walk Off Wins in Doubleheader Sweep of Western Carolina

BOILING SPRINGS, N.C. – The Gardner-Webb University softball team earned a sweep of their home doubleheader against Western Carolina University. GWU did so on two walk offs winning game one 1-0, and game two 4-3. Game one was a pitcher's duel between Andrea Lyon and WCU's Tessa Juett. Lyon pitched a complete game shut-out going all seven innings and registering six strikeouts.
