Men’s Lacrosse: Sikora earns NCAC’s award for defensive play
CLEVELAND — Kenyon College senior Joe Sikora, a long stick midfielder, was named the North Coast Athletic Conference men’s lacrosse Defensive Player of the Week. He earned the award based on his play against Oberlin College and Ohio Wesleyan University. Against Oberlin, a conference contest on Tuesday that the Owls won 14-8, Sikora scooped up five ground balls and produced four caused turnovers. On Friday night, in a 14-9 loss at Ohio Wesleyan, Sikora grabbed another ground ball and racked up one more caused turnover. On the year, Sikora leads the Kenyon team with 17 caused turnovers.
