Ross Tejeda named NESCAC Men’s Track Athlete of the Week
HADLEY, Mass. — Bates sophomore Ross Tejeda is the NESCAC Men’s Track Athlete of the Week, as announced Tuesday by the New England Small College Athletic Conference. Tejeda (Milton, Mass.) took seventh place out of 43 competitors in the 800 meters Friday at the Providence College Friar Invitational with a personal-record time of 1:51.71, moving Tejeda up one spot to fifth on the Bates all-time performance list in the event. Tejeda finished second among NCAA Division III runners, and out-raced athletes from the likes of Syracuse, Connecticut, and Brown. He currently ranks 18th nationally in the 800 meters. This is…
