Thies with Grand Slam in Warhawks win over Carthage

The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater baseball team added their 24th win (8th straight) on the season with a 16-4 7 inning victory over Carthage. The Warhawks opened up scoring right away in the second inning. The 8-run inning was capped off with an Andy Thies (Tallahassee, Fla./Lawton Chiles) grand slam (his 6th of the season), putting the Warhawks up 8-0. In the fourth inning, Thies batted in another run, giving the Warhawks a 9-0 lead. Thies finished with a career-high five RBIs in the game.
