Union women’s golf wins Missouri Baptist Invitational, Verdugo, Cagle, Burnette finish one, two, and three

Link to results ALTON, Ill. – The Union University women’s golf team posted a first-place finish at the Missouri Baptist University Invitational. The two-round event took place at the Spencer T Olin Community Golf and Country Club and featured eight teams with 43 golfers. Union added this tournament to the schedule just the past week as a previously scheduled event was canceled. Union also boasted the top three golfers. Brooklyn Verdugo defeated teammate Aubrie Cagle in a playoff to take medalist honors. Both shot 6-over 150 for the event. Verdugo’s first round 73 was the best round of the tournament.…
