Head coach Juwan Howard was fired after an eight-win season and replaced by FAU’s Dusty May. May hired Saint Mary’s associate head coach Justin Joyner to join the Wolverine’s staff as an assistant coach. Joyner was Mahaney’s primary recruiter out of high school and has trained him since middle school. While Michigan has been active in the portal, it has yet to secure a commitment. Mahaney could be the first domino to fall.
