Baseball Establishes Clyde Berry Award; Clay Berry Named Inaugural Recipient
ARKADELPHIA, Ark. — The Reddie baseball program announced on Wednesday that Clay Berry, the brother of Henderson State chancellor Dr. Trey Berry and son of the late Clyde Berry, is the inaugural winner of the newly established Clyde Berry Award. Named for the legendary former skipper of the Reddies, the award will be presented annually to a former Reddie baseball player or Henderson State alum who has pursued a career in coaching baseball and has exemplified excellence both on and off the diamond.
