Baseball falls to Guilford
DANVILLE, Va. — Averett University baseball fell to Guilford College 16-0 on Wednesday afternoon on Owen-Fulton Field. Junior Mason Williams went 2-for-4 on the day. It was a close game up until the fifth inning with Guilford 17-18, 9-8 ODAC) up 2-0. In the top of the fifth, Averett (8-23, 4-12 ODAC) had some pitching struggles, allowing the Quakers to take a 7-0 lead.
