RIO GRANDE VALLEY – The Western Athletic Conference (WAC) announced on Wednesday that senior Emilien Burnel and freshman Ivo Isqueiro, of The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley’s (UTRGV) men’s tennis team, earned All-WAC First Team and All-WAC Second Team Singles honors, respectively. Burnel, the team captain, went 3-1 in WAC play and was 11-10 overall this spring in the No. 1 singles flight. He went 14-12 overall in 2023-24 with a selection to the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Men’s All-American Championship in the fall.
