Former ULM Basketball Star Carlos Funchess to Be Inducted into Louisiana Basketball Hall of Fame
MONROE, La. — Former ULM men’s basketball standout Carlos Funchess was selected to be inducted into the Louisiana Basketball Hall of Fame in the class of 2024, the Louisiana Association of Basketball Coaches announced this week. As a two-year starter at the University of Louisiana at Monroe (then known as Northeast Louisiana University) from 1989-1991, Carlos Funchess earned acclaim for his tomahawk dunks and contributions to some of the school’s greatest teams.
