UTRGV to Remain WAC Affiliate in Men’s Soccer and Women’s Swimming & Diving

RIO GRANDE VALLEY – The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV) Department of Intercollegiate Athletics announced on Wednesday that it has accepted an invitation issued by the Western Athletic Conference (WAC) Board of Directors to remain in the WAC in the sports of men's soccer and women's swimming & diving effective with the 2024-25 academic year. UTRGV has participated in the WAC as a men's soccer member since the program was re-established in 2015, finishing second in the conference standings during both the 2018 and spring 2021 campaigns.
