Baseball Earns a Split Against Wilmington
COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Capital University baseball team shook off a sluggish game one loss to defeat Wilmington College in the nightcap of today’s doubleheader. The Comets won game two by a final of 4-2 after dropping the opening game 15-5 in a seven inning run-rule. The Comets are now 8-21 on the year and 2-10 in the OAC. The Quakers are now 3-23 overall and 1-11 in the conference. In game one, Wilmington’s Max Gildea proved to be the difference as the first baseman accounted for eight RBIs by himself as the Quakers tallied 15 runs in the game.…
