Baseball Falls by Mercy Rule in Six Innings to Bridgewater State, 13-1
BRIDGEWATER, Mass. – It was a tough outing for Emerson baseball on Thursday afternoon, as the Lions were mercied 13-1 by hosts Bridgewater State in six innings. Emerson was held to three hits, with one of them coming from Nicholas Favazzo (Lexington, Mass.) as he extended his hit streak to 12 games and his reached base streak to 22 games. Briggs Loveland (Burleson, Tex.), Braeden O’Connell (Boxford, Mass.), and Ethan Chanthompalit (Lowell, Mass.) tallied the other three hits for the Lions, with O’Connell’s driving in Emerson’s only run.
