SUMTER, S.C. --- Carson-Newman University defeated Tusculum University 4-2 in the quarterfinals of the South Atlantic Conference Women's Tennis Championship Thursday afternoon at the Palmetto Tennis Center. The 44th-ranked Eagles (11-7) avenged a regular-season loss to the 43rd-ranked Pioneers (14-8) by winning the doubles point, then taking three of the five completed singles matches against the defending tournameent champions.
