CARY, N.C. --It was a nailbiter on Friday, as the Delaware State Hornets came up one run short of victory, losing to the North Carolina Central Eagles 2-1. Senior Mayanah Mclntosh (4-7) got the ball to start for Delaware State (13-24, 4-12) and took the loss. The right-hander went six innings, giving up two runs, both of them earned, on eight hits, allowing two walks and striking out five.
