Jackson State Shut Out by Alabama A&M in Series Opener

HUNTSVILLE, Ala.| The Jackson State softball team was not able to score a run against Alabama A&M pitcher Cris'Deona Beasley on Friday despite recording six hits and were shut out 2-0 by the Bulldogs. Victoria Salazar started and took the loss in the circle for Jackson State. The right-hander went six innings, giving up two runs, one earned, on seven hits, allowing one walk and striking out two. At the plate, the Tigers were paced by junior M. Stephens, who went 1-for-2 on the day with two walks. Freshman G. Willis put together a standout performance as well, going 2-for-3....
