Four Purple Eagles from Niagara University have been honored by the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) for their achievements in women's tennis, with additional recognition for 12 Purple Eagles for their academic prowess.

  • Gabriela Melo: All-MAAC Second Team for No. 3 singles, went 9-4 overall in the spring, 4-0 in MAAC play.
  • Jaida Borg: All-MAAC Second Team for No. 4 singles, went 4-1 in MAAC play as a senior.
  • Enrica Favaron: All-MAAC Second Team for No. 6 singles, finished with an overall record of 10-7 and a 4-1 record in MAAC play.
  • Gurustat Makkar: All-MAAC honor for the second straight season, earned an All-MAAC Second Team honor in #5 Singles.
  • 12 Purple Eagles earned All-Academic honors, with specific individuals and their majors listed.

  • The women's team is set to open the MAAC tournament on Saturday against No. 2 Quinnipiac at 10 am.
