Shofner Leads ASC Tourney, Comets in Third on Day One

GRANBURY, Texas – The #14 UT Dallas men’s golf team opened the American Southwest Conference Championship at the Nutcracker Golf Course with a first round 294 (+6) and sit in third place. Senior Daniel Shofner leads as an individual with a first round 69 (-3). He made seven birdies, including five on the back nine. He broke his own single-season birdie record, sinking 80 this season. LeTourneau leads the eight-team field with a 289 (+1), followed by Concordia Texas (291/+3).
