Six-Run Third Propels Baseball Over Houghton

HOUGHTON, N.Y. – The St. John Fisher University baseball team beat Houghton in the opening game of their three game series on Friday, 10-3, propelled by a six-run third inning. The Cardinals, winners of five straight, had been at a disadvantage, trailing the Highlanders 3-0 after two innings. Then, in the third, the Cardinals loaded the bases thanks to walks and defensive miscues by their opponent before getting on the board with a bases-loaded walk to senior shortstop Nick Lemire.
