Williams, Owls Blank Wave in Series Opener
BOCA RATON, FL – Florida Atlantic hurler C.J. Williams tossed a five-hit, complete game shutout in a 5-0 blanking of visiting Tulane Friday at the FAU Baseball Stadium. Williams (5-2), who didn’t allow the Wave to get into scoring position until first baseman Brady Marget doubled in the ninth, struck out five and walked two in the 111-pitch effort. Tulane starter Luc Fladda (1-3) suffered the loss, allowing four runs (three earned) on eight hits and three walks with three strikeouts.
